Localfy 1.0.6 for Windows.

Imports now reference music files where they already live.

Localfy 1.0.6 is available for Windows. Ordinary Add music imports now store references to the selected audio files in their existing locations instead of copying the audio into a managed Localfy music folder. This avoids an extra copy taking up disk space. The source files need to remain accessible; use Library Health to relink a file if you move it.

New libraries still start empty. Localfy includes no sample recordings or commercial album artwork.

Verification and limits

The installed Localfy 1.0.6 app launched after an in-place update on Windows 11 Home; its ProductVersion, FileVersion, and app SHA-256 matched the release candidate. The final Setup package was rebuilt afterward to include 1.0.6-labeled third-party notices, and its embedded payloads match the published app and notice files. This final installer has not been verified through a clean installation or uninstall. An isolated synthetic WAV import check confirmed that the file remained in its source folder and no audio copy was added to Localfy’s managed Music folder.

Clean-machine installation and launch, uninstall, broad Windows compatibility, playback across formats and devices, the missing-.NET setup path, and runtime network behavior remain unverified for this version. The 10,000-track synthetic stress test has not been run on 1.0.6. The app and installer are unsigned; Windows may display a warning or block them. Keep Windows protections enabled and contact support if Windows blocks installation or launch.
